BUNNEY and Martine Rose released The Bottle Top on 24 October. Its recurring detail is the crimped edge of a beer cap, carried across a badge, earrings, a signet ring, bracelet and necklace. The British jeweller also lists a glass tankard and a silver bottle opener with a short chain and keyring.

A familiar outline, deliberately retained

BUNNEY’s own description places the collection among objects associated with pubs, clubs and community halls. The 28 mm badge is 925 silver; the range includes silver, 18ct yellow gold and mixed-metal options. The 15 cm opener is reinforced for functional use, a claim that applies to that specific opener rather than every jewellery piece that borrows its shape.

The pieces are made in the United Kingdom using traditional techniques. The point is less an expensive bottle cap than the decision to retain an ordinary object’s outline instead of turning it into an anonymous luxury symbol. The collection is listed on BUNNEY’s official shop; availability and pricing still need to be checked for the particular item and market.
